Presentato a Villanova d’Albenga il nuovo spazio di MAP, Museo di Arti Primarie.
Un grande spazio industriale vuoto. Pochissime opere d’arte – cinque – provenienti da luoghi e tempi molto diversi tra loro, scelte ad esempio di quanto verrà ospitato nello spazio . Un pianoforte a coda al centro. Un musicista che fa dialogare i suoi strumenti con la eco imponente che caratterizza lo spazio, camminando tra poche persone che anch’esse si aggirano incuriosite nello spazio suggestivo e straniante.

Così è stato presentato domenica 22 settembre a Coasco (Villanova d’Albenga) in località Marina Verde un nuovo spazio destinato ad ogni forma d’arte, apripista di un progetto destinato a trasformare entro il 2025 l’intero luogo ( notissimo Centro sportivo fino a qualche anno fa ) in un Polo Fieristico Museale di respiro internazionale.
“ Sugli oltre 50.000 mq di verde e spazi edificati sorgeranno in progressione spazi dedicati a musica, teatro, esposizioni d’arte, workshop in collaborazione con prestigiosi Istituti di Cultura nazionali ed internazionali. Entro dicembre 2024 cinquecento metri quadrati fino a poco tempo fa usati come magazzini diventeranno Spazio Espositivo Permanente,. Seguirà il recupero del resto dello spazio, confidando nella collaborazione attiva delle realtà pubbliche e private presenti sul territorio “ dice il giovane Presidente della Associazione MAP, Museo di Arti Primarie Lorenzo Gaudenti, Laureato in Scienze dei Beni Culturali presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano e Laureato in Economia e Gestione delle Arti e delle Attività Culturali presso l’Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia.
“ L’Associazione MAP – Museo di Arti Primarie, è nata con l’obiettivo di contribuire a rendere sempre più evidente l’esistenza di un #arcipelagoculturale che rende vivo il territorio Ingauno grazie al mare di intelligenze, attività, memorie che caratterizza questa realtà da secoli. La cultura non è solo un inutile orpello, ma presidio di civiltà e motore di un’economia sostenibile, che valorizza appartenenze e tradizioni locali, ponendole in relazione con la complessità della globalizzazione” prosegue Gaudenti, “ si avvale della #CollezioneTribaleglobale – e di altre collezioni private – per costruire eventi che per il tramite della potenza evocativa della bellezza costruiscono dialoghi destinati ad agire nel profondo; l’arte non è semplice decorazione, ma strumento destinato a evocare stati di coscienza legati alle grandi domande che l’essere umano si pone da sempre, e le arti extraeuropee, nella loro essenzialità archetipica, risultano sorprendentemente attuali e adeguate a dialogare sia con i linguaggi tradizionali dell’arte Occidentale, sia con le forme di espressione più contemporanee nate dalla nuove opportunità creative offerte dalle nuove tecnologie e dalla rivoluzione comunicativa consentita da Internet.”
MAP è una rete di spazi espositivi esistenti da anni, e in divenire: le Case degli Artisti di Onzo e Cosio d’Arroscia, la Biblioteca Tribaleglobale di Onzo e il Parco delle Sculture di Rainer Kriester, a cui si aggiunge oggi il nuovo, importante e prestigioso sito di Villanova d’Albenga.

La presentazione è stata decisamente inusuale e suggestiva, pensata per indicare quale sarà il linguaggio espositivo scelto dagli organizzatori. Gli invitati ( artisti, operatori culturali, esponenti di Associazioni e Istituzioni ) sono entrati uno ad uno nel grande capannone che fino a poche settimane fa ospitava materiale edile, accolti dal suono del corno di Jean Duchamp, prestigioso musicista e musicologo francese che ha composto appositamente per l’evento una serie di brani intitolati “6 Echoes from Marina Verde “, caratterizzati dal dialogo tra gli strumenti musicali usati e la eco prodotta dal grande spazio vuoto; all’interno, sul lato sinistro un grande dipinto del XVI secolo posto a dialogare con un’opera in bronzo di Rainer Kriester ed una importante maschera a elmo di cultura Fang ( Gabon ) . Al centro, davanti al pianoforte a coda ( un Bechstein del 1922 posto su un antico tappeto persiano) la dimensione contemporanea delle arti visive è testimoniata da un grande trittico di Enzo L’Acqua ( Strutture Asimmetriche , cm 190 x 225, anno 2000) . Sul lato opposto dello spazio è una grande scultura del popolo Asmat ( Papua N.G.) , 258 cm di altezza, a garantire il dialogo tra tempi e luoghi così diversi tra loro.
“ Per tutto il mese di ottobre lo spazio ospiterà performance musicali e teatrali che si terranno in concomitanza con le attività di ristrutturazione degli spazi, ovviamente nel rispetto delle normative di sicurezza; da qui la scelta di chiamare questo ciclo di eventi #bellezzaincantiere” dice Giuliano Arnaldi, Curatore del MAP, “ Per questo motivo non prevediamo l’apertura al pubblico, ma la trasmissione in diretta sui social network”. “
A cultural archipelago emerges in western Liguria
The new space of MAP, Museum of Primary Arts, was presented in Villanova d’Albenga.
A large empty industrial space. Very few works of art – five – from very different places and times, chosen as an example of what will be hosted in the space. A grand piano in the center. A musician who makes his instruments dialogue with the imposing echo that characterizes the space, walking among a few people who also wander curiously in the suggestive and alienating space.
This is how a new space intended for every form of art was presented on Sunday 22 September in Coasco (Villanova d’Albenga) in the Marina Verde area, a pioneer of a project destined to transform the entire place (a very well-known sports center until a few years ago) into an internationally renowned Museum and Exhibition Center by 2025.
“ On the over 50,000 square meters of greenery and built spaces, spaces dedicated to music, theater, art exhibitions, workshops will gradually arise in collaboration with prestigious national and international Cultural Institutes. By December 2024, five hundred square meters used until recently as warehouses will become a Permanent Exhibition Space. The recovery of the rest of the space will follow, trusting in the active collaboration of public and private entities present in the area ” says the young President of the MAP Association, Museum of Primary Arts Lorenzo Gaudenti, Graduated in Cultural Heritage Sciences at the University of Milan and Graduated in Economics and Management of Arts and Cultural Activities at the Ca ‘Foscari University of Venice.
” The MAP Association – Museum of Primary Arts, was born with the aim of contributing to making increasingly evident the existence of a #culturalarchipelago that brings the Ingauno territory alive thanks to the sea of intelligence, activities, memories that has characterized this reality for centuries. Culture is not just a useless frill, but a bulwark of civilization and the engine of a sustainable economy, which enhances local belonging and traditions, placing them in relation to the complexity of globalization” continues Gaudenti, “it uses the #CollezioneTribaleglobale – and other private collections – to build events that through the evocative power of beauty build dialogues destined to act deeply; art is not simple decoration, but a tool intended to evoke states of consciousness linked to the great questions that human beings have always asked themselves, and the non-European arts, in their archetypal essentiality, are surprisingly current and suitable for dialoguing both with the traditional languages of Western art, and with the most contemporary forms of expression born from the new creative opportunities offered by new technologies and the communication revolution allowed by the Internet.”
MAP is a network of exhibition spaces that have existed for years and are still in progress: the Artists’ Houses of Onzo and Cosio d’Arroscia, the Tribal Global Library of Onzo and the Sculpture Park of Rainer Kriester, to which the new, important and prestigious site of Villanova d’Albenga has been added today.
The presentation was decidedly unusual and suggestive, designed to indicate what the exhibition language chosen by the organizers will be. The guests (artists, cultural operators, representatives of Associations and Institutions) entered one by one into the large warehouse that until a few weeks ago housed building materials, welcomed by the sound of the horn of Jean Duchamp, a prestigious French musician and musicologist who composed a series of pieces specifically for the event entitled “6 Echoes from Marina Verde”, characterized by the dialogue between the musical instruments used and the echo produced by the large empty space; inside, on the left side a large 16th century painting placed in dialogue with a bronze work by Rainer Kriester and an important helmet mask from the Fang culture (Gabon). In the center, in front of the grand piano (a 1922 Bechstein placed on an ancient Persian carpet) the contemporary dimension of the visual arts is demonstrated by a large triptych by Enzo L’Acqua (Asymmetric Structures, 190 x 225 cm, 2000). On the opposite side of the space is a large sculpture of the Asmat people (Papua N.G.), 258 cm high, to ensure the dialogue between such different times and places.
“ Throughout the month of October the space will host musical and theatrical performances that will be held in conjunction with the renovation activities of the spaces, obviously in compliance with safety regulations; hence the choice to call this series of events #bellezzaincantiere” says Giuliano Arnaldi, Curator of the MAP, “For this reason we do not plan to open it to the public, but to broadcast it live on social networks”. “
